Meet Whit
Gary Whitworth Brower—known around the herd as Whit—is the person behind GNUWHIT, Gnumaginations, and a growing collection of creative, commercial, and community projects.
A Life with More Than One Rhythm
Whit was born in Vallejo, California, attended UC Davis, and now lives in Hailey, Idaho. The road between those places has included an early paper route, years in the restaurant business, entrepreneurship, online resale, music, drawing, family life, pets, and more than a few unexpected turns.
Today, Whit works full time as a Deputy Recorder for Blaine County. Outside of work, he plays drums and piano, experiments with guitar and other melodic toys, draws primarily in pen and ink, writes poetry, builds the GNUWHIT marketplace ecosystem, and shares everyday life as it happens.
Gnubay LLC, doing business as GNUWHIT, is the business home for the resale, affiliate, publishing, and web projects found throughout this site. The name may be playful, but the goal is practical: connect interesting people with useful information, uncommon finds, creative work, and a growing herd of ideas.

A name for the imagination
Gnumaginations’ Idaho registration covers original music and entertainment services, including musical compositions, recordings, videos and online non-downloadable music and video content.
